PENDLETON – The Pendleton City Council has a work session at 6:30 p.m. today (Tuesday) and one of the items on the agenda is a presentation by Bird Electric Scooters.

That company has applied for a business permit to operate a phone-app driven scooter rental service in the Round-Up City. The council will hear a presentation by Michael Covato of Bird and will be asking questions about the specifics.

Also on the agenda, city staff will present proposals for increasing fees for a variety of city services. There are also suggestions of how fees can be better streamlined and revised. The city’s Building Department will actually have to completely revise its fee structure due to changes in state law.

Other fee changes include Parks and Recreation services, the Pendleton Convention Center, and searching police records. The meeting is held via Zoom. The ID is 869 1604 8128 and the pass code is 577901.
