SCHOOL DELAYS/CLOSURES- January 12

The following areas schools are reporting delays or closures for today
Walla Walla Community College– The Walla Walla campus will remain closed today, campus will open again on Tuesday.
Prescott School District– Closed
Athena-Weston School District — 1-HOUR DELAY. School starts at 10 AM. This is due to their Friday schedule, which already starts later.
Dixie School is closed today
Helix School District – CLOSED
Walla Walla School District – CLOSED
College Place School District – CLOSED- No kindergarten or preschool. CPPS has canceled schools. All school-related activities and athletics have been canceled as well.
Pendleton School District will be on a two hour late start today, Friday January 12th. No breakfast will be served. Please be safe and do your best to bundle up your student(s), it’s very cold. **UPDATE**Bus Route 18 (Meacham) will not run today.
Milton-Freewater Unified School District – CLOSED
Waitsburg School District: Waitsburg School district will be on a 2 hour delay this morning. No morning Pre-school.
Walla Walla Community College Walla Walla campus will be operating on a 2 hour delay this morning 1/12/2024 due to inclement weather. Campus will open at 10 a.m. Please refer people to the web page for further instructions.
La Grande Schools on a 2 HOUR DELAY on Friday, January 12, 2024
All schools in the La Grande School District will be on a 2 HOUR DELAY Friday, January 12, 2024 due to adverse weather and slick road conditions. Expect that buses will be on their same routes, but two hours later.Please check our district website, Facebook page as well as news and radio media for updated information.Please know, if you don’t feel it is safe for your child to get on the bus or drive to school, you have every right to keep them home. There will be no negative consequences for your child. You may call the school and your child will receive an excused absence.
