School board to vote on new contract for Fritsch

PENDLETON – The Pendleton School District Board of Directors meets at 6 p.m. today (Monday). Three newly-elected board members will be sworn in, and the board will elect officers.

Approving Superintendent Chris Fritsch’s contract through June 30, 2024, is also on the agenda. Fritsch will be paid a salary of $151,161 this year. His salary for each of the subsequent years shall be a mutually agreed upon sum that will not be less than the first year. The contract also calls for the district to pay the premium for Fritsch’s fringe benefits unit cost.

The board will also vote on approving athletic cooperation agreements for the Oregon School Activities Association with three high schools. They are Griswold High in Helix for football, wrestling, baseball, softball, and boys and girls golf; Weston McEwen High School in Athena for girls soccer and girls swimming; and with Nixyaawii Community School for football and wrestling.

The meeting is at school district headquarters, 107 Northwest 10th St.
