School board opens its doors

WALLA WALLA – The meeting of the Walla Walla Public Schools Board of Directors will be open to the public at district headquarters today (Tuesday) at 5:30 p.m. Seating is limited based on state guidelines, and people are asked to pre-register on the district’s school board meeting schedule page. The meeting will also be streamed on the district’s YouTube channel.

There are several items on the consent agenda, including a resolution that calls for an emergency waiver of high school graduation credits. The board will also hear this month’s update on the progress being made on bond construction projects, as well as the monthly enrollment report.

Administrators will update the directors on the transition to the Blue Stage of reopening due to the pandemic. Also Brent Cummings will share details of the Summer Sol program for all grade levels. The meeting is at 364 S. Park St.
