OREGON – The Oregon State Sheriff’s Association (OSSA) has scholarship opportunities for high school seniors or current college students across the state. Students who apply will need to plan to attend a two-year or four-year institution and plan to pursue a career in law enforcement.
The OSAA is accepting applications for a $2,000 scholarship that is awarded annually. According to OregonSheriffs.org, “Applications must be received on or before April 1. All entries will be acknowledged. Selection of recipients will be made by the OSSA Scholarship Committee. This is usually done by review of the items submitted; however, a finalist could be asked to interview with the Scholarship Committee. Notifications will take place by May 1. The financial award will be paid to the college or university by August 15.”
