Scammers are hitting Malheur County

Malheur County-Malheur County Sheriff’s Office is notifying the community and surrounding areas that telephonic fraud is happening.
The Malheur County Sheriff’s Office states that their office had received reports that people are receiving telephone calls from a deputy or deputies associated with the Sheriff’s Office requesting money for fines. This is not the Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office will never do this. If you feel you have received this type of phone call, hang up and call the Malheur County Sheriff’s Office at 541.473.5126.
