Scammers are hitting Burns residents

BURNS (Released from the Burns Police Department)-Scammers are calling Harney County community members pretending to be the Burns Municipal Court claiming you owe money and must pay immediately.
These calls are NOT legitimate.
The Court does NOT request payments over the phone.
If you receive one of these phone calls, do NOT give out personal or financial information. Hang up immediately. Verify directly with the court by calling Harney County Justice Court at 541-573-2346.
