Salt Lake City Man Killed in Rollover Crash in Baker County

BAKER COUNTY – (Release from the Oregon State Police) On Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at approximately 2:00 A.M., the Oregon State Police responded to a single vehicle crash on Interstate-84, near milepost 323, in Baker County.
The preliminary investigation indicated a white Toyota HiAce, operated by Martin Christopher Liccardo (46) of Salt Lake City (UT), was traveling eastbound on Interstate-84 when it began to swerve within both eastbound lanes of travel. The vehicle left the roadway onto the soft shoulder and began to roll multiple times before coming to a rest on its roof.
The operator (Liccardo) was declared deceased at the scene.
The highway was not impacted during the on-scene investigation.
OSP was assisted by ODOT.
