Saint Alphonsus Welcomes Baker City’s First Baby of 2023

BAKER CITY – (Release from Saint Alphonsus Medical Center) It took a few days into the new year, but Saint Alphonsus Medical Center – Baker City is pleased to announce the arrival of the first baby of 2023 at the Baker City hospital.
Baby girl, Mabel Jo Grace, entered the world at 3:03 am on Wednesday, January 4, the second child of Bethany and Jeb. She weighed in at 7 pounds, 9 ounces and 19 and a half inches long. She joins an older sister at home.
To commemorate the hospital’s first baby of 2023, Saint Alphonsus presented Bethany and Mabel with a gift basket containing a host of newborn necessities, including:
- Canvas carrying tote bag
- Gender-neutral onesies and footed pajamas
- Teething toys
- Diapers
