Saint Alphonsus Health System names Kelly Kelly as new Quality Director

BAKER CITY – (Release from Saint Alphonsus Health) Kelly Kelly, MSN, RN, CHFN has been named Regional Director, Quality, Regulatory Compliance and Infection Prevention for the Saint Alphonsus Health System.  She has served as interim director since September 30.  

Kelly joined SAHS on June 6, 2022, as Manager of Quality and Regulatory Compliance at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, with responsibility for Quality and Patient Safety Programs and the health system’s Supervisor for Infection Prevention. 

“Since joining Saint Alphonsus, Kelly made a positive and significant impact by keeping Quality, Infection Prevention, and accreditation readiness top of mind across the health system. She has demonstrated exemplary leadership, a positive attitude and passion for Quality, regulatory compliance, team engagement and continuous learning in advising SAHS leaders to successfully prepare for The Joint Commission surveys, general regulatory compliance and infection control matters,” said Dr. Patrice Burgess, Executive Medical Director for the health system. 

Kelly will provide operational oversight for Quality, Critical Response, Infection Prevention, and Regulatory Compliance across the Saint Alphonsus system, including the Saint Alphonsus Medical Group.  Her responsibilities include personnel management, project management, resource deployment, data analysis, continuous accreditation readiness, reduction of nosocomial infection rates, and reduction of acquired conditions and infections.

Prior to Saint Alphonsus, Kelly worked for St. Luke’s Health System as a Quality and Patient Safety Manager, and for the Veterans Administration in Palo Alto, California as Nurse Manager in Case Management, Utilization Review, and Process Improvement Coordinator. Kelly has also worked as an ICU Nurse at the VA in Palo Alto, a Cardio-Thoracic ICU Nurse at Loma Linda University and as a Healthcare Specialist with the U.S. Army. She earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Grand Canyon University. She is a Certified Heart Failure Nurse.
