Saint Alphonsus Auxiliary- Baker City Scholarship Winner

BAKER CITY– (Release provided by Saint Alphonsus) Saint Alphonsus Auxiliary- Baker City Scholarship Committee met recently to review scholarship applications. Committee members are Marilyn Bloom, Marilyn Delfatti and Peggy Payton. They are awarding $1500 to a Baker County resident who is enrolled in the health care field such as RN, LPN, Radiology, Medical Lab Technician, Physical, Respiratory or Occupational Therapy or similar areas. The     studentmust have at least a college sophomore status by September 2020.

This year the scholarship is being awarded to Reno Hammond a 2019 graduate from  Baker High School. Reno is attending Oregon State University. His field of study is chemistry with a pre medicine option.

The Auxiliary Members assist at the Blood Draw and various other hospital events and also work in the Saint Alphonsus- Baker City Gift Shop. New members are always needed and will be warmly welcomed. For further information contact Peggy Payton at 541-519-8118.
