Rust busted for Burglary, Harassment, Criminal Mischief and more

BAKER CITY – (Release from the Baker City Police Department) On March 2, 2021 at approximately 0755 hours, Baker City Police Officers responded to an incident at 3150 Grove Street in Baker City. The victim had called Baker County 911 and reported, Raleigh Rust had kicked in her front door and was attempting to gain access to her bedroom where the victim had taken refuge. BCPD Officers entered the house and took Raleigh David Rust, dob: 11/10/1974 into custody without incident. The victim had a prior Restraining Order issued against Rust. Rust caused approximately $700.00 in damage to the front door and bedroom door of the victim’s residence. 

It was also determined Rust had entered an adjacent vacant residence at 3115 Grove Street through a window and damaged a Nelson Real Estate sign. The estimated damage to the window and sign is $600.00. Rust was lodged at the Baker County Jail on the following charges;

  • Burglary I
  • Criminal Trespass I
  • Violation of a Restraining Order
  • Violation of a Release Agreement
  • Criminal Mischief II x 2
  • Harassment
