PENDLETON – The Pendleton Round-Up Board of Directors is focused on the work to transition 0.109 acre of Roy Raley Park which the city of Pendleton allowed the Round-Up to control for improvements to the east end of the stadium. What those improvements will include has yet to be announced.

“At present, there are no finalized plans, drawings, or projected timelines to share,” Round-Up General Manager Erika Patton wrote in an email. “This will be a significant undertaking and we are taking a thoughtful approach as we evaluate next steps.”

In exchange for the sliver of land on the west side of Roy Raley Park, the Round-Up is paying for the cost of changing the underground utility infrastructure, the roadway, landscaping, tree replacement, and other improvements to the park.

Patton did comment on the intent for the improvements to the east end bleachers.

“What I can share is that the intent is to approach this project with care and quality, with the goal of delivering a result that benefits fans, participants, partners, and the broader community,” she wrote.
