Rodriguez incarcerated on rape, sex abuse and incest charges

CANYON CITY – A man will serve prison time on rape, sex abuse and incest charges. Grant County Circuit Court documents show that in January of 2021, Phillip Joseph Rodriguez, now 41, was found guilty by a jury verdict of Rape in the First Degree, Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, and Incest—stemming from activity in 2019.
Rodriguez was sentenced to a total of 25 years of incarceration with the Oregon Department of Corrections as well as a lifetime of Post-Prison Supervision. Court documents explained that the 300-month sentencing was cast in accordance with Oregon law since the victim was under 12 years of age.
