NYSSA — Folks in Nyssa are gearing up to illuminate the darkness with the Nyssa Nite Lite Christmas Festivities put on by the Nyssa Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture.

On December 1st, the celebration kicks off at Memorial Park around 6 p.m. for the annual tree lighting ceremony. Then, on Friday, December 6th, parade entrants will line up beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the LDS Church on Park Avenue. The parade will begin at 6 p.m.

The Nyssa Chamber of Commerce recently announced Robert & Kim Rodriguez for this year’s Nyssa Nite Lite Christmas Parade. Chamber officials wrote, “We recognize their years of service and dedication to our community and are pleased to be able to honor them in this way.”

Entry forms for the parade are available at the Nyssa City Hall. As a special note, the Nyssa Chamber mentioned, “Due to the current EHV outbreak, we will not be accepting horse entries for the Nyssa Nite Lite Parade. We still encourage our rodeo royalty to attend, just not on horseback.”
