Travelers on Pole Line Lane and U.S. 30 between Haines and Baker City should expect road closures beginning April 17 as crews begin railroad crossing improvement work on Pole Line Lane. Signed detours will be in place.
The project is scheduled to be completed in May.
Road closures
U.S. 30 will be closed to give crews room to work on the rail crossing and complete improvements that connect to Pole Line Lane. Work includes repaving around the crossing, tying the roadway into U.S. 30, and installing new striping and signs.
Detours
Local traffic may detour around the closures on Pole Line Lane and U.S. 30 by using Pocahontas Road and Wingville Lane.
Motor carriers traveling north on U.S. 30 from Baker City must detour at Davenport Road and use Exit 298 to access I-84.
