BAKER COUNTY – The following information provided by Rob Wilkinson, CEO of the Baker County YMCA) “We received notice that Baker County will be in the extreme risk category from April 30 through at least May 6th. Due to this state mandate, our Y facility capacity levels will be adjusted and our reservation policy activated. (please see below). Most Y programs will continue following current state guidelines, including wearing face masks, social distancing, and hand sanitizing. Thank you for continuing to follow these guidelines, so we can continue to offer Y services and keep our facilities and programs operating.
**State mandate = We can serve 6 people at a time, per facility, plus employees at the Y Sam-O-Swim Center and Church Street Gym. The Fitness Center can have four designated areas of six people where space allows, per hour.
**Kid zone will not be available while we are in the extreme risk category.
**Please reserve facility workout times, fitness classes, gymnasium and lap swim times online. Please visit our main YMCA page at: https://www.bakerymca.org/, click on access your online account and follow the prompts, to reserve your time. You can also call the fitness center or the swimming pool for assistance.
**Please only reserve 1 time per day; per facility.
**You can make up to 5 online reservations at a time.
**Sessions will be on the hour for 45 minutes.
**You must check in by 10 minutes after the hour; if not, your forfeit your reservation time.
**Members must exit the facility after their 45 minute reservation is over.
**We will accept walk-in traffic when there is availability.
**Church Street Gym will be available for workouts, running, walking, shooting hoops, etc.
**Swimming pool will be offering lap swim sessions only.
**Facemasks or face shields are required, except while swimming or using private studio 2.
**Saturday yoga, enhance fitness, and boot-camp will be held outside at the Y and there is no need to register online for that time.
**When registering for fitness classes online please be sure to check the updated fitness schedule at www.bakerymca.org. Then please select studio 1 for the appropriate time. (Maximum of 6 participants).
Fitness Center – Open 5am – 8pm weekdays (closed from 1-2pm for cleaning); Saturday 8am – 2pm; Sunday 10am – 2pm.
**You can reserve one of the following areas: the fitness center (cardio/weight area), cycle studio, walking track, or studio 1 (fitness classes).
**Workout times will start on the hour and last 45 minutes… (ie 7am to 7:45am, 8am to 8:45, etc.).
**You must stay in the area that you reserved.
**Only 6 people in classes or other designated areas, plus Y employees.
Pool – Open for lap swim only – 6 people per hour
Weekday lap swim sessions will be:
7am to 7:45am 8am to 8:45am,
10am to 10:45am 11am to 11:45am 12pm to 12:45pm
4pm to 4:45pm 5pm to 5:45pm
Saturday lap swim sessions will be:
7:00am – 7:45am 8:00am to 8:45am
Church Street Gym – 6 people, per hour, when open.
Church Street Gym will be open Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, from 12pm to 3pm, by online reservation, for workouts, walking, running, shooting hoops (bring your own ball), stretching, etc.
Church Street Gym will have limited workout equipment available such as mats, dumbbells, bands, etc.
