RICHLAND, Washington – The city of Richland has confirmed a data breach incident affecting servers and systems at Benton County Emergency Services and the city. This breach has potentially compromised personal information.
The city’s cybersecurity systems detected unauthorized access to city servers via Benton County Emergency Service’s servers on May 15. While the city is still investigating, a cybersecurity consultant is assisting with the assessment.
The city says intends to share more details as it identifies the full impact of the data breach.
