Reward offered for arson tips

WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Police Department and Walla Walla Fire Department are asking anyone with information about the arson that occurred at 409 West Rees Ave. on Aug. 7 to call WWPD at 509-527-1960 or the arson tip line at 1-800-55-ARSON.
A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered by the Arson Alarm Foundation and the Washington Insurance Council for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible for intentionally setting the fire.
Police detectives, working jointly with fire investigators, said there were signs of forced entry to the building, and more than one ignition point.
After firefighters extinguished the fire, officers including a K9 from the Walla Walla County Sheriff’s Office, searched the building. No suspects were found inside.
