Resources respond to multiple wildfires in Middle Fork of John Day River area

JOHN DAY, PRAIRIE CITY, & HINES, OR – (Press Release from the Malheur National Forest)

Multiple new wildfires have been reported on the Malheur National Forest in the past week. The Forest has responded to eight unknown causes of fires in the Middle Fork of the John Day River area, between November 10th and 14th.

As a reminder while recreating, if you light a warming fire, please fully extinguish the fire before leaving. Make sure the fire is dead out.
