Resources respond to 3.8 acre Eureka Fire

PRAIRIE CITY – With little rain so far this spring, wildfire season has kicked off in Eastern Oregon. According to information from wildcad.net, Oregon Department of Forestry responded to a small wildfire on April 19th about 5.7 miles east of Prairie City. Resources were on scene at last update. The Eureka Fire grew to about 3.8 acres in size, according to Wild Web. It reportedly burned in grass, brush, timber and downed logs. The cause of the fire was not listed.
