WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire at 4:14 a.m. Thursday on the 900 block of West Birch Street. The occupants exited the home before any firefighters arrived.
The first arriving unit found heavy smoke and flames on the first floor of the home and had the fire under control at 4:33 a.m.
The estimated loss is $150,000 and the cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters from Walla Walla County District No. 4 and the College Place Fire Department also responded as part of a mutual aid agreement.
