Reports of theft at a local grocery store leads to the discovery of drugs

LA GRANDE – La Grande Police responded to reports of a shoplifter at a local grocery story Wednesday evening. When officers arrived, they made contact with the suspect, Shawntell Seulean, who had stolen several food items worth approximately $60.00. During the arrest process, Seulean, who was cooperative with police, was found to be in possession of over 31 grams of methamphetamine and was subsequently arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance (PCS) (felony) as well as the Theft III for the stolen items from the business.
