Reminders issued for producers affected by Coleman Creek Fire

JUNTURA — On Wednesday, U.S. Highway 20 reopened between Burns and Vale following an earlier closure in response to the Coleman Creek Fire. ODOT asks motorists to “Use caution driving through the area, they may be damaged signs or other roadside infrastructure following fire activity.” The town of Juntura remains under a Level 3, GO NOW evacuation advisory.
The Coleman Creek Fire was last updated at 146,293 acres and remains 0% contained.
Also, the Malheur Rangeland Partnership has issued a list of reminders for livestock producers who have been affected by wildfire. Read their message below:

Wildfire Recovery Reminder for Producers
If you’ve experienced livestock losses due to the current wildfires, document them as soon as it is safe to do so.
-Take photos
-Record the date and location
-Keep a tally of the number and type of livestock lost
The FSA has indicated this documentation will be important for disaster assistance programs.
Your safety comes first. Never enter an active fire area to gather documentation.
