EASTERN OREGON – Seasons come and go; this includes hunting seasons as well. For hunters looking to bag a few more geese before spring, the White and White-Fronted goose season ends for the High Desert and Blue Mountains zone Sunday, March 10, 2024. The season will re-open October 14, 2024.
For those unfamiliar, White goose covers both the Snow Goose and Ross’s Goose species while White-Fronted goose is its own species. Canadian goose season, which covers both Canada and Brant goose, ended in the High Desert and Blue Mountains Zone January 28. The High Desert and Blue Mountains zone covers the Majority of Central and Eastern Oregon, including Union, Baker, Wallowa, Malheur, Grant, and Harney Counties.
