WALLA WALLA – Since inclement weather forced the closure of last Saturday’s and today’s second-dose clinics at the Walla Walla County Fairgrounds, a special clinic has been scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 20 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the same location. Residents who got a first dose on Jan. 23 or Jan. 25, should arrive at the site at the same time they received their first doses.
People who aren’t able to attend the clinic are asked to reach out to the Walla Walla County Department of Community Health at 509-524-2647. Those trying to reschedule should leave their names, the date of the first shot, and their phone numbers. DCH will reach out early this week to arrange a new time.
DCH points out that that rescheduling does push the date of the second dose outside of the recommended 17 to 21 day window as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control. However the CDC does say that the vaccines may be administered up to 42 days after the first dose. For more information about COVID-19 in Walla Walla County, check the DCH website or text COVIDWW to 888777.
