Reminder, today is the last day to submit entries for the Oregon State Fair with Union County 4-H

UNION COUNTY – The 2026 Oregon State Fair is coming up August 28, and today is the final day to register. For any prospective participants in Union County, display entries need to be turned in or registered with the Union County 4-H extension office by 5:00 p.m. today.  

Specifically, according to the 4-H Office, all qualifying static exhibits that are going to state need to be turned in by the deadline. Late exhibits will NOT be accepted and will miss their chance to be displayed.

Similarly, all livestock entries must be communicated to Shelby Benson by 5:00 p.m. in order for them to be submitted on time and stalling properly allocated. The number of each species of animal that will be traveling should be included. 

Lastly, all food, horticulture, or similar perishable exhibits need to have their entries submitted to Shelby by 5:00 p.m. this evening. The actual items do not need to arrive at the 4-H office until August 25 between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. in order to ensure they are fresh and ready for state fair.
