Reminder, the next deadline to report 2024 hunts is April 15, 2025

EASTERN OREGON – A reminder to Oregon Hunters, the next deadline to report 2024 hunts is fast approaching. ODFW requires that all hunts that ended between January 1 and March 31, 2025, be reported by April 15.  Reporting applies to any hunter that purchased a deer, elk, cougar, bear, pronghorn or turkey tag ending in the designated date range.

Note that reporting is still required even if hunters didn’t actually hunt or weren’t successful in their hunts, with an exception for SportsPac buyers not needing to report tags that were not issued to them.

Failure to report by the deadline will incur a $25 dollar penalty to be paid with the purchase of a hunting license for the following two years. Note that only one penalty is issued regardless of the number of unreported tags. All hunters that report by the deadline will be entered to win a unique big game tag similar to auction and raffle tags. Three winners will be drawn every year.

Hunters can report using the MyODFW app, logging into MyODFW.com through the licensing page, visiting an ODFW license agent, or visiting an ODFW office. Hunters will need their Hunter/Angler ID number, the two-digit wildlife management unit number of the unit hunted in most, the total number of days hunted (including mentoring youth), and the number of days specifically spent in their most hunted wildlife management unit.
