Reminder, Morgan Lake, outside of La Grande, closes in one week

LA GRANDE – A reminder to Union County Residents, The City of La Grande Parks & Recreation Department will close Morgan Lake for the winter season on November 1. Recreationists have one week left to enjoy the lake before the entrance road will be blocked off and facilities locked up.
As of the 2022 winter closure, stacked eco-blocks and a chain are used to close off the park’s access road in addition to no trespassing signs. This is in part due to vandalism experienced over the closure months during previous seasons. The lake will reopen on April 22, 2024.
