Reminder, City of Wallowa Increasing Water/Sewer Rates July 1st

WALLOWA – Reminder for Wallowa residents, the city will be implementing water and sewer rate increases beginning July 1, 2023. This is in accordance with resolution 416-19, which states, “that each rate will increase by $1.50 each July 1 annually for a total monthly increase of $3.00 to your water & sewer bill.” The new rates compared to old are as follows:

Monthly Water Rates:

(Per month for the first 10,000 gallons)

• 2022 (old) $36.50
• 2023 (new) $38.00

$.50 will be applied for each 1,000 gallons over the initial 10,000.

Monthly Sewer Rates

• 2022 (old) $41.50
• 2023 (new) $43.00

Note that during freezing conditions, the city will not charge for water used for faucet dripping.
