NORTH POWDER – The winter break is often a time to escape the boring bureaucracy of everyday business, but such business can’t be ignored forever. The City of North Powder would like to remind residents and business owners that burn permits and business licenses will need to be renewed following the new year.

For burn permits, all existing city permits will expire on January 1st, 2024. Per city law, burn permits are only valid through the year they were issued regardless of how late they were issued. Burn permits are required for all burning done within city limits but can be picked up for free at city hall.

Business licenses will expire on January 31st, 2024, regardless of the issuing date. All businesses within North Powder city limits are required to have a valid business license. Renewing a license requires a miniscule $15-dollar fee along with a $10-dollar late fee if renewed later than the 31st.

For questions, reach out to city hall at 541-898-2185.
