BAKER CITY – (Information from Baker City Public Works) A reminder to Baker City Residents, Baker City Public Works will begin this year’s chip sealing project today, with work expected to last approximately four days. The project was originally scheduled to begin August 21 but was delayed due to heavy rain.
Residents on the affected streets (see map above) are asked to remove all vehicles from the street before work begins and, if the weather shifts again, prevent any standing water accumulation on the street in front of their house. Drivers should expect traffic delays and possible rerouting while work is ongoing. For questions, contact Baker City Public Works at 541-524-2047.
