Registration Open for Island City Mayor and City Council Elections

ISLAND CITY – (Release from Island City) The City of Island City has a number of Council Positions that are up for election this November.  If you have ever wanted to serve your community in this capacity, now is your chance!  Election packets are available at City Hall, 10605 Island Avenue.  The last day to file with the City Recorder for the open positions is Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 3:00 p.m.

Open Positions

All Council Positions are a 4-year term

–  Council Position #1, currently held by Stan Terry, term expires 12/31/2022

–  Council Position #4, currently held by Don Longacre, term expires 12/31/2022

–  Council Position # 6, currently held by Don Starr, term expires 12/31/2022

Mayor Position is a 2-year term

–  Mayor, currently held by Dave Comfort, term expires 12/31/2022
