Red Cross urging eligible donors to make Power Red blood donations

JOHN DAY – The American Red Cross John Day Community will hold a blood drive next week in John Day. Schedule your donation now either online or via telephone. The Red Cross are urging people who are an eligible Type O, B-, or A- blood type to consider making a Power Red donation. Red blood cells are the most commonly transfused blood component.
The drive will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Tuesday, November 8th from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m., and then on Wednesday, November 9th from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. To schedule an appointment, call 1-800-RED-CROSS or visit redcrossblood.org and enter the sponsor code: JOHNDAYCOMMUNITY.
Per OHA, as a health care operation, masks are required.
