Record closed on Measure 114; judge’s opinion due by Nov. 22

BURNS – The record is now closed on the Measure 114 case in Harney County Circuit Court. Judge Robert Raschio, in a letter dated October 6th, has “denied admission of the offers of proof” brought forth by the defendants in the case. Furthermore, Judge Raschio wrote that the court will issue an opinion letter no later than November 22nd of this year.
The judge is examining the constitutionality of the measure that would place a limit on magazines holding 10 rounds or more, as well as implement a mandatory gunowner permitting system in Oregon. Find the judge’s letters attached below:
