BAKER CITY — Council Chambers within City Hall in Baker City will be undergoing some water damage repairs, according to city officials. City Manager Barry Murphy explained to our newsroom that, “during one of the recent snowstorms, the roof at City Hall leaked and caused water damage to some of the corners in the Council Chambers, as well as further down the building in the Finance area and Red Cross room.”
Murphy said repairs are needed, and Baker City’s contracted insurance company is handling the claim. He said city officials are discussing an alternative venue should the repair work still be underway when the City Council need to use the Council Chambers.
