Rebecca Nordtvedt Named Superintendent for Grant School District #3

GRANT COUNTY – Release from Grant School District #3) The Grant School District #3 Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection of Rebecca Nordtvedt as Superintendent of Grant School District #3, effective July 1, 2026, pending final board approval at the February 18, 2026 Board meeting.
Ms. Nordtvedt is a proven educational leader with 11 years of administrative experience, including service as Superintendent of Wallowa Education Service District, Troy School District, and most recently, Enterprise School District. She holds a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Alaska Anchorage and an Administrative Certificate from Portland State University. Ms. Nordtvedt is also a proud 1993 graduate of Grant School District #3. 

Board Chair Will Blood shared his enthusiasm for the selection, stating, “As a Board member and parent of kids in this district, I am thrilled with the selection of Ms. Nordtvedt as our district’s next Superintendent. Ms. Nordtvedt is exceptionally qualified and has the experience necessary to lead our district forward. I am confident Ms. Nordtvedt will not only maintain, but add to the momentum and positive traction that has been worked so hard on for the last three years by students, our entire staff and the Board of Directors. I am confident Ms. Nordtvedt will provide stability and positive direction to our district for years to come.” 

Superintendent-select Rebecca Nordtvedt shared the following statement, “I am deeply honored to be selected as the next Superintendent of Grant School District #3. Returning home to serve the students, families, and community of the district is a privilege. The education and experiences I received at Grant School District prepared me for success as an adult, and I am committed to ensuring today’s students have the same high-quality education and supportive environment. I look forward to working alongside the staff, parents, and community to support student achievement and advance the district’s success.” 

The Board of Directors extends its sincere appreciation to the Screening Committee for their time, insight, and guidance throughout the selection process. The Board is also appreciative of the student groups who participated in candidate interviews and provided valuable feedback, as well as the community members who shared input during the public meet-and-greet held at the GU Commons.
