BAKER CITY – With the recent rains, the Baker Fire Department says the rains have not dampened the vegetation enough to reduce the fire danger.  Grasses will dry out within hours with the warm temperatures within a day or two.  The Baker City Department is reminding the citizens of Baker City that a burn ban is still in effect and will continue to be in effect until enough moisture eases the restrictions, until then NO burning.
