JOSEPH – (Release from Chief Joseph Days Rodeo) Quincee Zacharias has been named the 77th Annual Chief Joseph Days Rodeo Queen. Quincee is a 17-year-old Junior at Enterprise High School. She is active in 4-H & FFA and likes to compete in anything that involves horses, she has qualified for the Oregon State Horse Fair twice. This year she will be traveling with her horse, Cowboy, and is excited to meet all of her fellow rodeo fans during the 2023 Chief Joseph Days Rodeo July 25th – 30th.
Although Quincee was the only candidate she still had to pass all the requirements like all those before her, which includes riding, speaking, and ticket sales. She performed her speech in front of multiple different groups of judges, had high scores in riding, and sold an astonishing $50, 210.00 in tickets. Quincee is the third Zacharias to claim the title of CJD Queen, her aunt Shilo Zacharias held the title in 2002 and her older sister Maggie Zacharias just finished her reign in 2022. Make sure to watch for Quincee and her horse, Cowboy, along the rodeo trail this summer!
