MILTON-FREEWATER – Milton-Freewater police attempted to stop a 2007 Ford Mustang for reckless driving just before 1 a.m. Thursday. The driver, Michael William Wisar, 40, refused to stop which led to a pursuit.
The vehicle crashed into a field near Stateline and Powerline roads where Wisar fled on foot. With the assistance of the College Place Police Department, Walla Walla Police Department and Walla Walla County Sheriff’s Office, he was apprehended.
Wisar is currently being held in Walla Walla County Jail facing charges of controlled substance possession, making false or misleading statements, and having multiple outstanding warrants. MFPD will also be filing additional charges against Wisar.
The Walla Walla County Jail roster lists Wisar as being from Los Angeles.
