BAKER COUNTY – The holiday season is here, and many choose this time of the year as their time for giving. Whether it’s through donations, presents, or presence, help is needed and appreciated all across the map.
The Baker County Board of Commissioners recently issued a release that highlights volunteer opportunities through the various public boards and committees with vacancies. Currently, there are eighteen of these groups with openings, including the Wolf Compensation Depredation Advisory Committee, the Baker County Planning Commission, and the Baker County Cultural Coalition Committee.
Officials say volunteering on these committees is an excellent way to become involved, and it is also a good start for anyone thinking about running for a public office. Find the Board of Commissioners’ press release below:
