Summary

TOWN OF CANYON CITY WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for the construction of the Canyon City Water System Improvement Project will be received by Town of Canyon City, at the office of the City Hall, 123 S Washington Street, Canyon City, Oregon, until 2:00 pm local time on March 25th, 2026, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of constructing replacement of approximately 3 miles of water transmission line, site work and construction of treatment facility and new storage reservoir, installation of controls and telemetry for the water system, and replacement of existing water meters. Separate Bids will be received for Contract No. 1 - General Water Transmission Line Construction, Contract No. 2- General Construction, site grading, site utilities, treatment facility building, and storage reservoir foundation, Contract No. 3 - Provide, design, and install Steel Storage Tank, Contract No. 4 - Provide, design, and install SCADA system and Filtration Equipment, Controls, and Programming, and Contract No. 5- Replacement of water service meters; Optional additional bid items may be indicated in the Bid Forms. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is Sisul Engineering, 158 E. Main Street, John Day, Oregon, contact person is Joe Hitz, phone number is 541-575-3777, email address is joehitz@sisulengineering.com.. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8am to 5pm, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents also may be examined at Town of Canyon City - City Hall, 123 S Washington St., Canyon City, Oregon by appointment only; the office of the Sisul Engineering, 375 Portland Avenue, Gladstone, Oregon, phone number 503-657-0188, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Complete digital project bidding documents are available. Bidding Documents are available alternatively, printed Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office either via in-person pick-up or via mail, upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment for the Bidding Documents. The non-refundable cost of printed Bidding Documents is $100.00 per set, checks made payable to "Sisul Engineering", plus a non-refundable shipping charge. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 am local time on March 11th, 2026, at the Town of Canyon City - City Hall, 123 S Washington St., Canyon City, OR. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory. "This project is funded by the federal Safe Drinking Water Revolving Loan Fund through Business Oregon and a partnership of Local Funds along with the Water/Wastewater Fund, funded by the Oregon State Lottery and administered by the State of Oregon, Business Development Department." Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
