City of Joseph-City Council Special Meeting and Budget Hearing
Summary
1. Call the Meeting to Order & Roll Call This Meeting is Being Recorded Please Silence All Cell Phones 2. Opening of the Public Hearing a. Mayor’s announcement: Open the public hearing on the Fiscal year 2026-2027 Approved Budget. b. Staff presentation: The City Budget Officer presents the final budget numbers and highlights any changes since the approval by the Budget Committee. 3. Public Testimony a. Public comment: Residents may speak in support of or opposition to the approved budget. Time is limited to 3 minutes per speaker 4. Closing of the Public Hearing a. Mayor’s announcement: Formally close the public hearing after all testimony is heard. 5. Council Deliberations and Discussion a. Council discussion: Review public input and final budget numbers. b. Budget adjustments: Council proposes any minor changes (strictly keeping within Oregon’s 10% or $5,000 threshold). 6. Action Items: Resolutions for Adoption a. Resolution 2026-13 Motion and vote to approve the resolution adopting the budget, making appropriations, and levying property taxes for Fiscal Year 2026-2027. 7. Adjournment a.
