LA GRANDE – There are some actions that, for the sake of everyone around, should simply be carried out in one’s own home, or at the very least, a location with a modicum of privacy and, preferably, a door that locks. Failure to do so can result in a public indecency charge. This recently occurred when one man in La Grande chose the alley behind a local business as his ideal spot for something nobody wanted to see.
At around 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 23, the La Grande police department received a report of indecent exposure at 1704 1/2 Adams Ave, La Grande. Specifically, the caller reported someone was “masturbating” in the alley behind the business. Officers quickly made contact with the subject, 39-year-old Josh Rauli, who was still in the area. Rauli reportedly cooperated with police and was arrested for public indecency. Rauli was also in possession of a small quantity of methamphetamine at the time.
