PENDLETON – The superintendent of the Pendleton School District is evaluated for the administration’s performance every six months and that evaluation happened Monday evening. Superintendent Kevin Headings says his evaluation was positive and he’s grateful for that, but that’s doesn’t mean there isn’t room for improvement.
Headings said that he and his staff are working to improve dealing with student discipline.
“Trying to minimize those instances of class disruptions, negative student behaviors, and what we can do about it are one of the areas we’re looking at,” he said.
He said they are seeing progress toward that goal.
“What our data shows overall is that every one of our schools is going in the right direction as far as decreasing the instances of negative student behavior,” he said. “The staff and administration are working hard to minimize those incidents of negative behavior and emphasize the positive behavior.”
Headings also said district staff is beginning to study any upgrades that might be needed at the district’s schools.
