PSD board to vet superintendent applicants

PENDLETON – The Pendleton School District Board of Directors has a special meeting scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday) at 8 a.m. After convening the meeting the board will go into an executive session regarding employment.

The Superintendent Search Calendar reveals that session will be to evaluate the applications received for the open superintendent job. The deadline for applications was last Friday.

The directors expect to schedule five to six candidates for preliminary interviews to be held March 29 and 30. Finalist interviews are anticipated the first week of April. The board will reconvene after the executive session and will take any needed action before adjourning. The public is not allowed to attend executive sessions.
