PENDLETON – Pendleton School Superintendent Chris Fritsch said the district should have plenty of time to plan for school in the 2020-21 school year. The Oregon Department of Education is supposed to issue its reopening instructions on July 19, which he said would give them time to plan.
“I fully anticipate that we’re going to open our doors to all students in the fall,” he said “That’s what we’re going to build our plan on.”
Fritsch said he’s already hearing from ODE that the state agency is optimistic as well.
“It sounds like what’s being discussed will allow us to return to full-time, in-person instruction.”
