PENDLETON – The graduation ceremonies are set for the Pendleton School District’s three high schools. The Board of Education was informed of the schedule at this week’s meeting.
“This is a really cool time of year for any school district,” Superintendent Kevin Headings said. “We get to send our graduates off to their next thing.”
Leading up to graduation, Pendleton High School will hold its scholarship recognition night at 7 p.m. in the auditorium on May 31. Baccalaureate will be in the auditorium at 7 p.m. June 1, which is also the seniors’ last day of school. There will be a 9 a.m. graduation practice at the Round-Up Grounds on June 2 and graduation will happen at 10 a.m. June 3 at the Round-Up Grounds.
Hawthorne Alternative School will hold its graduation ceremony on May 31 at 6 p.m. It will be outdoors at PTEC (formerly West Hills Elementary School).
Nixyaawii Community School’s Class of 2023 will graduate at 6 p.m. on June 2. That ceremony will be at the Rivers Event Center at Wildhorse Resort & Casino. Seniors’ last day of school will be May 25.
