Prospectors defeat Weston-McEwen/Griswold for 2A/1A State Championship

EUGENE – Senior Halle Parsons hit the game winning home run out of Jane Sanders Stadium in Eugene, advancing herself and two other baserunners across home plate and the Prospector Softball Team has again won the OSAA 2A/1A Championships.

The Pros defeated Weston-McEwen/Griswold 11-0 last Friday, May 31^st, to claim the state title for the second year in a row. Parsons’ walk-off home run occurred in the 6^th inning, as the ball left Jane Sanders Stadium, going over the fence in center field at about 220 feet.
