Probable wolf depredation from Desolation Pack

GRANT COUNTY – The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife report that a calf and a steer are dead on the Middle Fork due to possible and probable wolf depredation. According to the latest ODFW Livestock Depredation Investigation documents, on May 11th, a five-week-old calf was found deceased on private land near the Middle Fork of the John Day River. The cause is listed as probable depredation from the Desolation wolf pack.

Also, on the 11th, a dead steer was found on private property up the Middle Fork. The cause is listed as possible wolf depredation/unknown.
